Dr. Ismail Hamza completed his Ophthalmology residency in Ain Shams University where he earned his Medical Degree and then he was promoted to Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology in 1990. He has taught Cataract and Refractive surgeries to Ophthalmology residents for more than 30 years.
Dr. Ismail is one of the most prominent opinion leaders and experts in his field , he regularly lectures on Cataract techniques and newest lens implants to other surgeons locally and abroad. He supervised 17 M.D. thesis and chaired 6 skill transfer courses and 5 wet lab. courses,
Dr. Ismail is an active member in ASCRS, AAO, MEACO, EOS, ESCSR and ESOIR where he gave over 100 presentations, showed 16 scientific films covering new techniques and performed several live Phaco surgeries.
Dr. Ismail has received several national and international awards.
